Music on the River 2019 – four magical summer events on the punts featuring five talented musicians and the beautiful College Backs this summer.
Live Music on the River Cam
We all know Cambridge is well-known for it’s fine musical events – from live music that takes place in local venues such as The Cambridge Junction, The Corn Exchange, The Portland’s Arms or The Corner House – to outdoor events like the Strawberry Fair, Cambridge Folk Festival or the Big Weekend… In all walks of life music plays a key role and uplifts any occasion… So, here comes our genius idea; why not combine some of the best artists in the City with Cambridge’s number one activity – punting. The acoustics of the River Cam are just perfect and the scenery is beauteous, it is the perfect backdrop to some live music and an experience that you will never forget.
This year, with thanks to The Punt & Pole (the new floating pub of Cambridge), our guests can enjoy a glass of Prosecco, beer, wine, Gin & Tonic and soft drinks on board, all without having to move a muscle as you are served your beverage, from the next vessel. What’s more, they are offering an exclusive discounted rate for our events, so you can enjoy the finest beverage at a reasonable price… Live music, breathtaking views, nature and a cold drink in your hand on a stunning summer evening… tempting, isn’t it?
