We have put together a list of places that we think will suit every one of our customer’s needs, from romantic weekends to family getaways.

Best for: A luxurious weekend punting

 

The Gonville Hotel is situated on the edge of Parkers Piece, one of Cambridge’s most synonymous green spaces. In 1838 to celebrate the coronation of Queen Victoria a feast for 15,000 people was held there.

Admittedly this next hotel isn’t in fact in Cambridge, however, it is so perfect that it just had to be included. Plus it’s only a half an hour drive down the A14.

 

Situated in the historic village of Moulton, The Packhorse Inn provides a romantic weekend that even Bridget Jones would be jealous of.

 

The Packhorse Inn hosts 8 boutique styles rooms, all with varying styles. You can choose between staying in the main house or staying in the old coach house. Their restaurant, also under the same name, offers a modern British menu from award-winning chefs. Using local suppliers to ensure their menu stays true to the region.

Like The Packhorse Inn, The Quy Mill Hotel is situated outside of Cambridge. That is what makes it one of the best places to stay as a family as you can locate not only the historic city centre but other fun-family activities in the area of Cambridgeshire.

You can choose rooms with a regal four-poster bed or ones with a private terrace that offers a more riviera feel.

The hotel boasts some of the best facilities with an oak-beamed gym, health club and spa. Not only does its facilities not disappoint, Quy Mill also has access to an abundance of outdoor activities.

The Holiday Inn Express is the perfect getaway for a weekend punting trip to Cambridge. For those of you travelling further afield, Holiday Inn’s location is ideal. 3 miles from Central Cambridge. A 15 minute drive away from Cambridge Station and Stansted Airport only being a 35 minute drive away.

Or alternatively why not choose one of the Travelodge‘s that are positioned in and around the city centre. Whilst any one of the ten hotels will guarantee a fun and relaxing stay for all the family, Travelodge Cambridge Central is a great budget-friendly option for staying over in the heart of the city. Best for: Backpacking around Cambridge
