This December, the River Cam provided a magnificent backdrop for the Traditional Punting Company’s Christmas Carols on the River event. This festive afternoon combined live choral music, seasonal hospitality, and charitable giving in the heart of Cambridge.
We are proud to announce that the event raised £1,370 for Little Miracles Cambridge. This respected Cambridge charity supports families with children facing serious illness or disability. In addition, the Traditional Punting Company is pleased to be making a further £250 donation to the St John’s Evangelist Choir, in recognition of their generous and moving performance throughout the evening.
A Refined Festive Experience on the River Cam
We welcomed guests aboard our traditional hand-built Cambridge punts for a peaceful winter journey along the river, where festive lighting and the timeless sound of Christmas carols created a magical atmosphere. With the city’s historic riverside setting aglow for the season, the afternoon offered an elegant and memorable way to celebrate Christmas in Cambridge.
The St John’s Evangelist Choir delivered a beautifully curated programme of traditional carols. The choir’s voices flowed across the river, creating a truly atmospheric experience for everyone in attendance.
Supporting Little Miracles, Cambridge
The central purpose of the evening was to raise vital funds for Little Miracles, whose work provides essential care, comfort, and practical support to local families during challenging circumstances. The generosity shown by our guests enabled us to reach the exceptional total of £1,370 raised. This result reflects the strength of community spirit in Cambridge this holiday season.
