This festive season, the Traditional Punting Company in collaboration with Lets Go Punting, invites you to partake in a cherished Cambridge tradition – Christmas Carols on the River. Set against the idyllic backdrop of the River Cam, adorned with the architectural elegance of the College Backs, this event isn’t merely a punt tour; it’s a festive odyssey for a noble cause. On Sunday, December 15th, 2024, at 2:15 pm, you and your loved ones joined us for an hour-long carolling cruise featuring the heavenly voices of the St John the Evangelist choir. We are already making preparations for 2025! We want you to be a part of it.
Why Christmas Carols on the River? Because it’s not just about spreading holiday cheer—it’s about making a difference. Last year, every carol sung and every ticket sold supported the Cambridgeshire Community Fund, dedicated to enhancing the lives of those in need across the region.
– 100% of ticket sales were donated to the Cambridgeshire Community Fund – supporting vital local projects and charities.

Ticket sales
Every ticket purchased is a gift of hope, as 100% of the sales are donated each year. By attending, you’re not only part of a cherished tradition but also contributing to a meaningful cause that extends far beyond the riverbanks. Over the years, this event has become a beacon of change: in 2019, we raised £553 for EACH, in 2021, we rallied for Blue Smile with £770, in 2022, we continued raising the bar by reaching £830 for Cambridge Aid, and in 2023, we proudly raised over £1,200 for Tom’s Trust. Last year, we steered our efforts towards an ambitious goal and raised £1,420 Cambridgeshire Community Fund.
